Utility Department

The City of Blue Ridge Utility Department provides water and wastewater services to the general public, business, and industries in the City of Blue Ridge and parts of Fannin County. The sole water source for the City is the beautiful and abundant Toccoa River. The department is committed to meeting or exceeding local, state and federal requirements with the water and wastewater treatment plants and distribution system. The department is responsible for maintaining treatment plants, water mains, sewer mains, pump stations and meters and utility billing services. We strive to provide accurate, timely, and responsive billing and customer service for all utility customers along with a 24/7 service for utility emergencies.

The City of Blue Ridge Water & Wastewater is responsible for:

  • Supplying water & wastewater services to residents and businesses where the services are available
  • All paperwork concerning the start-up and cancellation of utility customers
  • Billing and collections of water, wastewater
  • Maintaining the City's main water & wastewater lines and pump stations  
  • Repairing leaks occurring on the City's side of the system
