The legislative authority of the government of the City of Blue Ridge rests in the City Council composed of the Mayor and five Councilmembers. The Mayor and Councilmembers serve for staggered terms of four years. The City Council enacts Ordinances, the laws of the City, adopts Resolutions authorizing actions on behalf of the City and establishes the policies by which the City is governed. Regular City Council meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at Blue Ridge City Hall.
