Mayor's Welcome

As Mayor of Blue Ridge, I'd like to welcome you to our website. We hope it's helpful to both our residents and our visitors in finding important information that will assist in making your transactions with the City of Blue Ridge easy and pleasant.

If you're not familiar with Blue Ridge, it's known for its beautiful mountains and quaint ,small town feel that boasts a happening art community with shopping, restaurants, and activities for the entire family. The downtown district is home to the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway which hosts thousands of guests each year. Fishing, hiking, boating, and shopping are just a few of the activities enjoyed by both our residents and our many visitors. Blue Ridge is considered a destination vacation city for all of the reasons mentioned in addition to so many more.

With Blue Ridge being a destination city, I feel it is imperative to balance the relationship between our full-time residents and our large number of year-round tourists. Our City Council is committed to doing just that.
